Chilling attempt to usurp Americans With Disabilities Act by US Senator

According to this article:

http://www.hslda.org/docs/news/2012/201208200.asp

Last night, a US Senator Dick Durbin (IL) attempted to bring the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to a vote on the U.S. Senate floor by asking for unanimous consent to ratify the treaty.

Everyone in the special needs community needs to be aware of this and the dangers of every UN treaty in regard to US sovereignty and of the ability of the UN to usurp Constitutionally-guarantied rights of US citizens. There are attacks on US sovereignty on many fronts, over issues that many Americans ignorantly feel secure about.

We MUST hold our Representatives accountable in these matters!

Inspiring article

My friend Hashachar, led me to an inspiring article about a young woman with DS, who's becoming a teacher! Here's the link: http://www.care2.com/causes/education/blog/amazing-story-of-teacher-born-with-down-syndrome/ Congratulations, Bryann! We'll be praying for you...May all your dreams come true!

I've often wondered if Diona would become a teacher - She loves learning and tries to teach her friends already. She also sits her dolls around her little table and pretends to teach them.
